Part 1	requirements

================================================================================

1.	Java(R) is required to run the fsc windows application.

	Please get the Java version from the following webpage

		http://java.sun.com/j2se/download.html

	and install the software according to the installation hints
	on that webpage.


2.	Be sure that the Java binary directory is in the system path.

Part 2	installation

================================================================================

1.	Uncompress the IMAGIC installation archive

1.1.	on a UNIX system type

		tar -xf free.tar

1.2.	on a Windows system use a file archiver, e.g.

		7-zip (available from http://www.7-zip.org)

	or

		WinRAR (available from http://www.rarlab.com)

2.	Use your file manager and click either the em2em(.bat) or the fsc(.bat)
        script to start the EM2EM or the FSC program.
